How Ozone is made
We all know that while the quality of our tap water in South Africa is reasonably good by world standards, it's often filled with trace chemicals like fluoride and chlorine that can have adverse effects on plants, especially for sensitive grows. Ozone (O3) is a very effective and completely natural sterlising agent. It occurs naturally in the air after thunderstorms and dissipates quickly - within a few minutes in the air and within a few hours when dissolved in water. This is because O3 is a relatively unstable molecule and Oxygen quickly tends to revert to its stable natural form of O2.
O3 is made by passing an electrical charge through Oxygen (O2) molecules, causing them to break apart and reform as Ozone (O3) molecules.
